The Il Toro is a semi-automatic shotgun in Arc Raiders that was recently nerfed in Patch 1.20.0. Previously one of the most dominant weapons in the game, it has been significantly tuned down.

Is the Il Toro Still Good?
The Il Toro has dropped from S-tier to B-tier after the nerfs. It is still usable at close range but no longer dominates mid-range encounters with a choke attachment. The Breaker is now the better shotgun option for most players.
Best Il Toro Build (Post-Nerf)
- Choke attachment: Now essential to compensate for the wider dispersion
- Extended Magazine: Helps offset the slower reload
- Pair with an Anvil or Viper for mid-long range
- Combat skills: Quick Draw for faster swap, Recoil Control
Why Was It Nerfed?
Embark stated they tuned the Il Toro “so it performs more like a weapon of its rarity.” It was overperforming at mid-range, especially with the choke attachment, making it a dominant all-range weapon instead of a close-quarters specialist.

How to Get the Il Toro
- Scavenge it, or craft at Gunsmith 1 with the Il Toro Blueprint (5× Mechanical Components + 6× Simple Gun Parts).
- Buy from the trader Tian Wen for 15,000 coins (max 3 per day).
- The Unexpected Initiative quest rewards an Il Toro I.
Best Use
The Il Toro is a close-quarters PvP shotgun that downs most Raiders in two or three body shots up close. Its wide spread and sharp damage fall-off make it strictly a short-range weapon — commit to the push or keep a backup for anything past a few metres.
