All Prickly Pear Spawn Locations

Dustbowl — South Canyon (Best Spot)

The South Canyon in Dustbowl has the highest concentration of Prickly Pear spawns in the game. You can find 4-6 Prickly Pear nodes along the canyon floor and walls.

Ember Fields — Dried Riverbed

The dried riverbed near the central bridge in Ember Fields has 3-4 Prickly Pear nodes. Less popular than Dustbowl, so lower competition.

• ARC threat: Medium — ARC patrols cross the bridge regularly
• Competition: Low

Victory Ridge — West Plateau

The cliff edge on the western side of Victory Ridge has 2-3 Prickly Pear nodes. Not the best dedicated farming spot, but worth grabbing if you are already in the zone.

• Spawn count: 2-3 per expedition
• ARC threat: Low in this area
• Competition: Low — most players head to the Central Tower instead

Best Prickly Pear Farming Route

The most efficient Prickly Pear farming route:

1. Deploy to Dustbowl — Spawn near the South Canyon entrance
2. Clear the canyon — Collect all 4-6 Prickly Pear nodes along the floor (3-4 minutes)
3. Exit north — Head toward the Dustbowl extraction point
4. Extract — Total time: approximately 5-6 minutes per run

This route yields 4-6 Prickly Pear per run. In one hour of farming, you can collect 40-60 Prickly Pear — enough for 13-20 Advanced Medkits.

Extended Route (Higher Yield)

For maximum yield per expedition, add Ember Fields to your route:

1. Deploy to Dustbowl → collect South Canyon nodes
2. Head east toward the Ember Fields transition zone
3. Collect the Dried Riverbed nodes (3-4 more)
4. Extract from Ember Fields extraction point

Total: 7-10 Prickly Pear per run in approximately 10-12 minutes.

Prickly Pear Farming Tips

• Invest in Scavenger skill — The Scavenger skill in the Survival tree increases resource gathering yield by 15% per level. At max level, you get bonus Prickly Pear from each node.
• Bring a large backpack — Prickly Pear stacks to 20, but you will also be picking up other materials along the way
• Farm during off-peak hours — Less player competition means more nodes available for you
• Mark nodes on the map — Use our interactive map to plan your route before deploying

Prickly Pear Spawn Timer

Prickly Pear nodes respawn each time a new expedition instance is created. There is no cooldown timer — simply extract and deploy again for fresh spawns. Each expedition instance has fixed spawn points that are always active when you arrive.
