Arc Raiders Third-Person Tips – Camera, Angles & Advantages
Third-Person Shooter Tips for Arc Raiders
Arc Raiders is one of the few extraction shooters in third-person. This creates unique tactical opportunities.
Third-Person Advantages
- Corner peeking: See around corners without exposing your body. The camera is behind your character, so you can observe while staying in cover.
- Situational awareness: Wider FOV than first-person. See more of your surroundings.
- Verticality reads: Easier to assess climbing routes and height positions.
Camera Tactics
- Left/right shoulder swap: Switch camera sides to peek from either side of cover
- High-angle advantage: Being above opponents lets you see them while they struggle to see you
- Cover shooting: Third-person makes cover-to-cover gameplay natural and effective
Transitioning from FPS
- Aiming feels different — practice in the hideout range
- Movement is more visible — use slides and crouching more
- Sensitivity settings may need adjustment from FPS habits
