Hurricane Map Condition

The Hurricane is a map condition introduced with the Shrouded Sky update on February 24, 2026. It dramatically changes gameplay with severe weather effects.

Hurricane Effects

• Directional wind: Affects movement speed — slower against the wind, faster with it
• Grenade trajectories: Wind carries grenades off-course
• Jumping: Wind affects jump distance and direction
• Shield degradation: Airborne debris damages shields over time
• Visibility: Reduced sight lines during gusts

First Wave Caches

Hurricane introduces First Wave Caches — rare, high-value loot spawns that only appear during the storm. These contain exclusive loot not found in normal conditions.

Tips

• Move WITH the wind for faster rotation
• Shield management is critical — bring repair items
• First Wave Caches are worth hunting despite the danger
• Close-range weapons are more reliable than long-range during gusts
• The next weather condition (Lightning) arrives with Flashpoint on March 31
