Arc Raiders VOIP – Proximity Chat & Voice Communication Guide
Voice Communication Guide
Arc Raiders features proximity voice chat (VOIP) that lets you communicate with nearby players.
How VOIP Works
- Proximity-based: Only players within range can hear you
- Push-to-talk or open mic: Toggle in Settings → Audio
- Works cross-platform: PC, PS5, Xbox players can all hear each other
Using VOIP Strategically
- Say “I’m friendly” to avoid unnecessary PvP fights
- Coordinate with random squadmates who don’t have Discord
- Can reveal your position — use push-to-talk for stealth
When to Go Friendly
The Arc Raiders community has an etiquette around friendly encounters. Using VOIP to communicate peaceful intent often works, especially in PvE-focused lobbies where ABM groups passive players together.
Settings
- Settings → Audio → VOIP Volume
- Settings → Audio → Push to Talk toggle
- Mute specific players via the social menu
