WARDOGS Building Guide

WARDOGS lets you build fortifications, weapons and objective structures with hammers and supplies. Season 2 made building far more expensive so structures are “a considered investment rather than something you spam”.

Hammers

  • Small hammer: builds the basics, including the Wooden Step.
  • Medium hammer (Support unlock): adds the Large Shelter. Contributes less per swing since Season 2.
  • Large hammer (Support unlock): the only hammer that builds the MG Nest. Its build rate is unchanged.
  • The Large Hammer’s vendor price is $2,400; hitting critical spots speeds up building, though Season 2 cut that bonus.
  • Doors and gates can no longer be breached with a hammer. Use the Halligan Bar ($885, 7 uses).

Build Supply Costs (Season 2)

Buildable Supply cost Season 1
Wood Base 15 —
Bremmer wall 32 15
Door 80 22
Gate 200 85
Air raid shelter, bunker, crow’s nest 200 100
Large Shelter (new) 250 —
L81 Mortar 600 150
Stingray 650 150
MG Nest (new) 650 —
Talon 9K-SAM 650 1,000
Vanguard CIWS 1,200 1,500
Hot Zone Magnet 2,750 2,250

When an enemy destroys one of your buildables, they earn its supply cost in cash. See cash rewards.

Drill Rigs

Setting Season 1 Season 2
Minimum fuel to activate 1,500 2,000
Maximum fuel 7,500 10,000
Maximum uptime 375 s 300 s (matches capturable towers)

A destroyed rig now has a much longer cooldown before it can be replaced, to stop multi-rig builds dominating.

Defensive Weapons

  • Talon (anti-air): reload 2 s → 5 s; restock cost from munition supplies 50 → 200.
  • L81 Mortar: restock 75 → 150, and a new firing animation lowers its fire rate.
  • Vanguard CIWS: shreds light cover but struggles against heavy fortifications.
  • MG Nest: a manned M2 Browning emplacement, new in Season 2.

Other Building Rules

  • Barbed wire and sandbags can sit on top of Bremmer walls, but barbed wire kills no longer pay cash or XP.
  • Unfinished buildables collapse when they lose support.
  • Tank traps can only go on certain surfaces.
  • A FOB costs $7,500 from the vendor.
  • You can build loudspeakers to blast faction propaganda at the enemy.
