WARDOGS Economy Guide
WARDOGS runs on a persistent cash economy. BULKHEAD’s summary is “teamwork pays, and cash is king”: everything you use is bought with money you earned, and what you earn stays on your account.
How the Economy Works
- Every player starts with $10,000.
- Each life you buy a loadout from the vendor: weapons, armor, gear, utility and vehicles.
- You earn cash for teamplay: kills, revives, transporting teammates, logistics, spotting and holding the zone.
- The Hot Zone pays double cash.
- Cash persists from match to match. Save it, or spend big on better gear.
- You can exchange cash for Gold Bars, which buy cosmetics in the Gold Market.
Two Kinds of Price
Most items have two prices, and mixing them up is the most common beginner mistake:
- Unlock cost: a one-time payment once you reach the required level on a role track. Example: the TCX-SPR unlocks at Assault level 20 for $100,000.
- Vendor price: what you pay every time you buy it for a life. Example: the TCX-SPR costs $3,200 each time.
See progression and unlocks for unlock costs, and the weapons, vehicles and armor pages for vendor prices.
Gold Bars and the Gold Market
- Gold Bars are the “endgame currency”, bought with your cash profits.
- The Gold Market unlocks on the WARDOG track at level 35 for $150,000 in Season 2.
- Season 2 added eight camos in four families: Black & Gold (Little Bird, Season 2 exclusive), Chocolate Chip (Evo-3 Ultra, M14, TCX-SPR), Two-Tone Desert (Galil, Mosin, Havoc) and Digital Wood (M500). The Black & Gold AK camo was removed.
- BULKHEAD has promised that cash and Gold Bars will never be sold for real money, and camos will never be sold directly.
Season 2 Economy Changes
- Losing-team discount: 20% off at the vendor for a team at least 40 points behind second place.
- Players who seed empty servers get rewards and a vendor discount when the match starts.
- Base logistics payouts were lowered, but new delivery streaks reward repeat runs.
- Spotting pays about 30% less than in Season 1 and now scales with the value of the target.
- An experimental Wager Vendor was announced for later in Season 2: bet your own cash on objectives you choose. BULKHEAD says it will come and go and may be pulled if it proves exploitable.
Exploits Get You Reset
BULKHEAD’s stated policy: abusing cash exploits earns a timed ban and a cash and XP reset to 0; making tutorials for exploits earns a permanent ban; and joining XP-farm servers for more than a few minutes can get you permanently banned. Update 0.1.2 ended the lenient period for first offenders, including for real-money trading.
- Exactly what you lose when you die beyond the loadout you bought for that life.
- Whether leftover cash converts to Gold Bars when a season ends. Several sites claim so, but we haven’t found it in BULKHEAD’s posts. See Season 3 and wipes.
