WARDOGS Squads, Team Switching & Team-Kills

How squads, team switching and team-kill punishment work in WARDOGS, from BULKHEAD’s official FAQ and Season 2 patch notes.

Squad Size

BULKHEAD’s answer: “Unlimited!” Squadding up gives you extra UI, communication tools and vehicle locking. Vehicles you buy are private to you and your squad by default.

Squad Intent (Season 2)

Squad leaders can set a visible intent from a preset list, which every player sees in the squad list before joining. Squad invites and other timed prompts now queue.

Proximity Chat

Local voice chat is heard by everyone nearby, including enemies. Use squad comms for plans, and proximity chat at your own risk.

Team Switching Rules

Once a team is more than 10 points ahead:

  • You can’t switch teams again for 15 minutes after joining one.
  • If you switch or join mid-match, your map stays obscured until you first reach the Control Zone.
  • You can’t use the Spawn Vehicle until you first reach the Control Zone.

BULKHEAD says the rules are meant to stop late switching from deciding matches while still letting you join friends.

Team-Kill: Forgive or Punish

  • When a teammate kills you, you choose Forgive or Punish.
  • Punish votes add up against the team-killer, leading to kicks and escalating bans.
  • Forgive removes a potential mark.
  • If you respawn and leave the safe zone without voting, it counts as a forgive.
