The Blue Gate – Arc Raiders Map Guide

The Blue Gate – Arc Raiders Map Guide

The Blue Gate Overview

The Blue Gate is a top-level Arc Raiders map set deep within the northern mountains, combining narrow tunnels, underground facilities, and open snow-covered plateaus. It’s an open-ended map with significant elevation changes, retro-futuristic weathered aesthetic, and plenty of long-range firefight opportunities. The map is split between an underground complex (high-value loot) and a surface area (puzzles + lookout positions).

Two things define successful Blue Gate raids: identifying your spawn quickly to pick the right route, and being prepared for boss ARCs at chokepoints — the cover-light terrain punishes under-equipped runs.

Best POIs

Underground Areas

POI Notes
Reinforced Reception Hub location with the RGB puzzle and battery room. Contains weapon crate and security lockers behind the right door after puzzle solve.
Gate Approach Checkpoint Centre of the map. Best zone for blueprint and weapon farming if you can complete the battery puzzle.
Warehouse Complex Leads into the underground complex. Patrolled by Rocketeer near the Warehouse Airshaft.
Underground Complex Primary loot convergence point. Where most contested PvP happens.

Surface Areas

POI Notes
Ancient Fort Multi-floor puzzle location. Solve the Fuel Cell puzzle to access the cellar.
Raider’s Refuge Church area. Find 4 hidden buttons (exterior, interior, bell tower, nearby ruins) to unlock the cellar puzzle.
Pilgrim’s Peak Highest vantage point on the map. Holds rare components and is a strong sniper position.
Village Yellow zone with domestic loot. Steady extraction filler.
Ruined Homestead Good loot surrounding Ancient Fort. Worth a pass if you’re in the area for the puzzle.
Baron Husks Two husk puzzle locations on the map edges. Solve with ARC Power Cells.

Other areas worth knowing: Headhouse, Trapper’s Glade, the Forest area, the Ridgeline, and Highway Collapse.

Extraction Points

Extraction Safety Notes
Forest Airshaft Safest Relatively safe, low ARC pressure. Default extraction for solo runs starting from forest spawn.
Warehouse Airshaft Dangerous Patrolled by a Rocketeer. Don’t extract here without a plan to handle the patrol.
Raider Hatch Conditional Between Highway Collapse and Checkpoint. Requires a Raider Hatch Key but offers an alternative route out.

Extractions on Blue Gate are themselves part of the difficulty — vertical airshafts pull players upward into exposed exits. Timing, cover awareness, and clearing the area before calling are non-negotiable.

Key Items You’ll Need

  • Fuel Cells — for the Ancient Fort puzzle
  • ARC Power Cells — 2 needed for the Baron Husk puzzle
  • Batteries — 3 needed for the Checkpoint room puzzle
  • Confiscation Room Key — gates the Confiscation Room loot
  • Raider Hatch Key — optional, opens the alternative extraction route

The Five Puzzles

Blue Gate has five named puzzles. Solving them grants high-value loot — this is one of the most reward-dense activities on the map.

Ancient Fort

Insert three Fuel Cells into power stations on floors 1-3. Follow the black wires to locate the cells.

Raider’s Refuge

Find four randomly-spawning buttons around the church exterior, interior, bell tower, and nearby ruins. Activate all four to access the cellar.

Baron Husks

Use 2 ARC Power Cells on the damaged hull sections (look for electrical sparks). Navigate through flamethrowing obstacles twice to complete.

RGB Console

Interact with the console in Reinforced Reception until it displays a colour. Follow the painted wall directions (blue / red / yellow) to the destination.

Checkpoint Batteries

Locate three batteries (under the stairs, on the second floor, in adjacent rooms). Deliver all three to the battery box right of the doorway.

ARC Enemy Distribution

  • Rocketeer — patrols near Warehouse Airshaft and Raider’s Refuge.
  • Bombardier — guards the checkpoint entrance, particularly aggressive in the night version of the raid.
  • Standard ARC patrols are constantly present at chokepoints throughout both surface and underground sections.

The Matriarch can also spawn on Blue Gate, but this is the worst version of that fight — open terrain provides minimal cover. Raiders often cooperate against her here out of necessity. See the Matriarch boss guide for fight mechanics.

Best Loot Routes

Underground Focus (Optimal)

  1. Identify your spawn — forest spawns reach Reinforced Reception fastest
  2. Activate the RGB puzzle in Reinforced Reception
  3. Access the right door for the weapon crate and security lockers
  4. Complete the colour puzzle following the painted wall directions
  5. Collect batteries and unlock the main room
  6. If time permits, push to Ancient Fort for the second puzzle
  7. Extract via Forest Airshaft (avoid Warehouse Airshaft)

Surface Focus (Alternative)

  1. Start at Village or Pilgrim’s Peak for opening loot
  2. Progress through the Forest area / Ridgeline for weapon crates
  3. Complete the Ancient Fort puzzle
  4. Extract via Raider Hatch (key required)

Night Raids

The night version of Blue Gate is significantly harder. Additional boss ARCs spawn — expect two Rocketeers and one Bombardier at the Checkpoint. Puzzle rewards improve to compensate for the higher threat level. Only attempt night raids with a full squad and ARC-pen weapons.

Tactical Notes

  • Cover is sparse. Plan engagement positions before you commit. The mountainous terrain means open fights are common.
  • Elevation matters. Pilgrim’s Peak and other high vantages dominate sightlines. If you bring a sniper, find a peak.
  • Solve puzzles for the loot, not the XP. The puzzle rewards are some of the highest-density loot on the map — better than most random container spawns.
  • Watch the Warehouse Airshaft. It’s the obvious extraction route, which is exactly why it’s the most dangerous.
