Fireball – Arc Raiders ARC Enemy Guide & How to Kill

Fireball Overview

The Fireball is a small, ground-based ARC machine — a squat, ball-shaped flamethrower bot with retractable armor plates and very little health (around 20 HP) once you can reach its core. Individually it’s a Low-threat unit, but it gets dangerous in tight indoor spaces, especially when it shows up alongside Ticks or Pop units in large facilities.

Attack

  • Flame burst. It rolls toward you, opens its front panel, and unleashes a long sustained jet of fire — catching fire keeps burning you for several seconds afterward.
  • Death blast. When destroyed it coats the nearby area in fire, so don’t kill one right on top of yourself or in a doorway you need to run through.

Weak Point

  • Exposed core. The unarmored core is only visible when the front panel opens during its attack. Any weapon can destroy the core once it’s exposed — but the closed shell needs Medium or Heavy Ammo; Light Ammo simply bounces off.

How to Kill It

  • Hit it first. Shoot it before it initiates its attack, or wait for the panel to open and put a round straight into the core.
  • Bring hitting power. Hard-hitting weapons like the Ferro or Anvil punch through the shell; skip Light Ammo entirely.
  • Keep your distance. Stay out of flamethrower range, vault to spots it can’t reach, or dodge-roll out of the burst — and mind the fire it leaves when it dies.

Where It Spawns

Fireballs favour bunkers and underground areas, including the Metro entrances in Buried City and a large underground bunker in the upper-right area of The Blue Gate.

Drops

Destroying a Fireball awards +100 XP (and +200 for scavenging the core). Its loot includes:

  • Fireball Burner — a unique component
  • ARC Powercell, ARC Alloy
  • Crude Explosives, ARC Coolant, ARC Thermo Lining
