Arc Raiders Patch 1.45.0 Notes
Arc Raiders Patch 1.45.0 Notes (September 8, 2026)
Live Update 1.45.0 is the last major patch before the Frozen Trail update on October 8. It opens the fifth Expedition, adds the “Ascending the Mountain” Raider Project and the Hornet Hunter set, upgrades the engine to Unreal Engine 5.7, and — most importantly for your stash — confirms that Cred is being retired and must be spent before October 8.
- Time-sensitive: Cred is expiring October 8 — how to spend it
- Coming next: Frozen Trail Update Preview (Oct 8)
- Full changelog: Arc Raiders Patch History

What’s New
“Ascending the Mountain” Raider Project
A new Raider Project that has you investigating phantom ARC signals and helping Apollo with experimental schematics. This runs alongside the existing project chain heading into Frozen Trail.
Expedition 5
The fifth Expedition phase begins. Note the matchmaking change below: departing on an Expedition no longer auto-resets your quests — you now choose whether to reset.
Hornet Hunter Set
New cosmetic outfit collection, now available in the store.
Community Rubber Ducks
Player-designed rubber ducks by gekko.rar, im_AshCheeks, and nassguhl have been added to Bird City’s Raider Den — winners from the community design contest.
Currency: Cred Is Being Retired
The biggest heads-up in this patch. Cred will remain usable until October 8, when the currency retires alongside the Frozen Trail update. Any Cred left on your account after that will expire.
- Spend remaining Cred with Shani or on Raider Deck rewards before the deadline.
- There is no post-expiry conversion — unspent Cred is simply lost.
Full breakdown, including what to buy first, in our Cred expiration guide.
Gameplay & Balance
- Aphelion weapon sway reduced — the Aphelion gets improved aiming stability. A straight buff for the legendary battle rifle.
- Landing on moving surfaces — players now follow a moving surface when they land on it, instead of sliding off.
- Expedition departures no longer auto-reset quests — you decide whether to reset when you depart.
- Matriarch stomp fixed — the stomp attack can no longer penetrate tall cover.
- Quick item cycling can now be rebound separately from the quick-use wheel, which prevents unintended item swaps after closing the wheel.
Quality of Life
- ARC Turbine mines can now be pinged — useful for calling out the minefield during the ARC Turbine fight.
- Loadout weight indicator now updates correctly when you drop stacked items.
- The pick-up prompt now shows “loadout full” when you try to pick up an item you have no room for.
- Skill Tree node selections received visual tweaks.
- Clearer matchmaking error messaging for offline and crossplay incompatibilities.
Performance & Tech
- Unreal Engine upgraded from 5.3 to 5.7. This is a large under-the-hood change — expect visual and stability differences, and watch for driver/OS-specific issues while it settles.
- Multiple crash fixes on PS5, Xbox Series S, and PC.
- Voice chat now works correctly when Raider Voice is enabled.
Known Issues at Launch
- Phantom Targets project part two is unavailable for some players — Embark has confirmed compensation is pending.
- PC crashes tied to Windows Update KB5121003.
- Keyboard input can be lost on the Epic Games launcher build.
- Animation glitches: weapon swap, search interruption, and throw detonation timing.
Meta Impact
- Spend your Cred now. This is the one time-critical action — everything else can wait, your Cred cannot. See the spending guide.
- Re-test the Aphelion. The sway reduction makes it noticeably more consistent at range; worth re-rating in your loadout.
- Rebind quick cycling if you’ve ever fat-fingered an item swap out of the wheel — it’s now a separate bind.
- Prep for Frozen Trail. This is the final content beat before the Oct 8 map drop — see the Frozen Trail preview.
