Arc Raiders Weapon Rarity – Common to Legendary Explained
Weapon Rarity Guide
Weapons in Arc Raiders come in different rarity tiers that affect base stats and attachment slots.
Rarity Tiers
| Rarity | Color | Stats | Attachment Slots |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | White/Gray | Base stats | 0-1 |
| Uncommon | Green | +10-15% | 1-2 |
| Rare | Blue | +20-30% | 2-3 |
| Epic | Purple | +35-50% | 3-4 |
| Legendary | Gold | +50%+ | 4 + unique slot |
How Rarity Affects Gameplay
- Higher rarity = better base stats on the same weapon
- More attachment slots = more customization
- Legendary weapons can use unique attachments like the Anvil Splitter
- Durability scaling (Patch 1.26.0): rarity now directly affects per-shot durability loss — legendary takes ~85% less durability damage than common, see Durability Guide
Rarity & Durability (Patch 1.26.0)
Patch 1.26.0 made rarity matter for weapon longevity, not just stats. Per-shot durability loss now scales by tier:
| Rarity | Durability Loss Per Shot |
|---|---|
| Common | +75% |
| Uncommon | +50% |
| Rare | +35% |
| Epic | -5% |
| Legendary | -10% |
A legendary weapon takes roughly 85% less durability damage per shot than a common one. For sustained fights — bosses, ARC Turbine, hard-zone PvP — epic and legendary tier weapons are now meaningfully better, beyond just the stat bonuses listed above. See the full Durability Guide for the complete mechanic.
Where to Find Higher Rarities
- Epic+: Hard maps (Stella Montis, Buried City)
- Legendary: Boss drops, bunkers, Night Raids
- Blueprint farming lets you craft specific weapons at any rarity
Rarity Tiers
Arc Raiders weapons come in five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times at a Gunsmith (shown as I–IV) — except Legendary weapons, which cannot be upgraded.
Durability by Rarity (Patch 1.26.0)
The Riven Tides update tied durability loss per shot to rarity — the single biggest reason to run higher-rarity guns in sustained fights:
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Common | +75% durability loss per shot |
| Uncommon | +50% |
| Rare | +35% |
| Epic | −5% |
| Legendary | −10% |
The same patch dropped average spawned-weapon durability from 50 to 30, and made upgrading a weapon repair 25% of its max durability. See the full Weapon Durability guide for the mechanics.
What It Means for Loadouts
Lower-rarity guns burn out fast; Epic and Legendary lose durability far more slowly, so they hold up through boss farming and long PvP fights. Bring your best-rarity weapon to anything drawn-out.
