Bettina – Arc Raiders Assault Rifle Guide | ARC Armor Penetration (2026)
Bettina Assault Rifle
The Bettina is a heavy-hitting assault rifle in Arc Raiders, designed around per-shot damage and ARC armor penetration. After the major Patch 1.26.0 buff (April 28, 2026), the Bettina is now one of the strongest all-rounders in the game and a serious contender for the top all-round primary slot.
Patch 1.26.0 Buff (April 28, 2026)
The Bettina received the largest individual buff in Patch 1.26.0. Every key stat moved in its favor:
| Stat | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Damage | 14 | 16 |
| Fire-rate | 285 | 235 |
| Dispersion | baseline | ~40% reduction |
| Dispersion recovery | baseline | ~30% improvement |
| Armor damage | baseline | +33% |
The package: harder per-shot damage, much tighter dispersion, faster recovery between bursts, and a meaningful jump in armor damage. The Bettina now competes directly with the Anvil as the top all-round AR pick — and outperforms it against armored ARC enemies.
Strengths
- Best-in-class armor penetration – the +33% armor damage buff stacks on top of an already strong baseline. Cuts through Sentinel, Queen, and ARC Turbine armor faster than the Anvil or Tempest.
- Tight dispersion – the 40% dispersion reduction makes the Bettina viable at mid-range engagements where it previously struggled.
- High per-shot damage – 16 damage per shot lands meaningful impact even at common rarity. Pairs well with the new durability scaling.
- Reliable in long fights – the recovery improvement means sustained engagements aren’t punished by drift.
Weaknesses
- Slower cyclic rate than the Anvil – if you want to dump rounds, the Anvil still wins on volume.
- Heavy ammo dependency – runs on Heavy Ammo. The 1.26.0 stack increase (40 → 60) helps, but you still need to budget more ammo than light-rifle users.
- CQB liability – despite the dispersion fix, the Bettina is still slow on the draw vs. SMGs and shotguns. Pair it with a close-range secondary.
Best Use Cases
- ARC Turbine boss fight – the +33% armor damage and tight dispersion fit the 4-5 shot landing window cleanly. See our ARC Turbine Boss Guide.
- Boss farming – Sentinel, Queen, and other heavily armored encounters.
- Hard-zone PvE – Stella Montis, Buried City, and Riven Tides.
- Mid-range compound PvP – the dispersion fix makes the Bettina a real PvP option for the first time. Strong at Customs House, Port Authority, and similar contested compounds.
Best Attachments
Now that dispersion has been reduced, attachment priorities shift:
- Optic: Reflex Sight or Holographic for compound fights; 2-4x scope for armor penetration at range.
- Barrel: Compensator for sustained PvP, or Heavy Barrel to push armor damage even higher.
- Grip: Vertical Grip stacks well with the new recovery curve.
- Magazine: Extended Mag — sustained fights against the ARC Turbine and bosses can outlast a base mag.
See our Best Attachments Guide for the full attachment breakdown.
Loadout Pairings
- PvE primary + close-range secondary: Bettina + Bobcat covers armored ARC at range and Leapers / pushers up close.
- Boss-focused: Bettina + Breaker for ground-phase mechanics and adds.
- PvP versatile: Bettina + Venator for an SMG fallback in compound interiors.
