Riven Tides – Arc Raiders New Map Guide | April 2026 Release & Details

Riven Tides Overview

Riven Tides is the sixth map in Arc Raiders, launched April 28, 2026 at 1:30 AM PT / 4:30 AM ET / 10:30 CEST as part of Patch 1.26.0. It’s the first map to feature a coastal environment with tidal mechanics, the new Beachcombing map condition, and the new airborne ARC Turbine boss.

The map was first teased in the Flashpoint Update patch notes and confirmed on Embark Studios’ content roadmap as the next major zone after Stella Montis. Alongside the new map, Patch 1.26.0 introduces the ARC Turbine (a new flying ARC boss), the Beachcombing map condition, the Last Resort limited-time event (April 28 – May 25), the fourth Expedition Window, the Avian Alarm Player Project, and the launch of Trials Season 4. The update also bundles a free Arc Raiders remaster and PSSR 2 upscaling support for PS5 Pro.

Release Date

Riven Tides went live on April 28, 2026 as part of Arc Raiders Patch 1.26.0. The full patch notes include the new map, the ARC Turbine boss, the Beachcombing map condition, sweeping weapon-durability changes, and the start of Trials Season 4.

The fourth Expedition Window opened the same day at 13:00 CEST / 11:00 UTC / 04:00 PT and runs until departure on May 11, 2026 at 09:00 CEST.

Map Layout

Riven Tides is set on the southern coastline of the Rust Belt, just below Buried City — filling the largest unexplored gap on the current world map. The shipped layout splits into three core zones: the Panorama Azzurro resort (hotel, pool deck, beachfront bar), the Exodus dockyard (Customs House, Stacking Yard, Port Authority, Crane House, Docks), and the open coastline connecting them.

The map’s defining feature set:

  • Tidal cycle – low-lying areas flood and drain on a fixed timer, opening and closing routes through the dockyard and beachfront
  • Beachcombing – a new minor map condition. High-value loot is buried under the sand on the abandoned shorelines, only revealed if you have the Dockmaster’s Detector equipped (see Map Conditions below)
  • Three named zones – the Panorama Azzurro resort, the Exodus dockyard (Customs House, Stacking Yard, Port Authority, Crane House, Docks), and the open coastline between them
  • Vertical play – the multi-floor Panorama Azzurro hotel (the largest building in Arc Raiders), towering harbor cranes, and stacked container yards add strong vertical engagements

Note on size: early reception flagged Riven Tides as feeling smaller than the pre-launch teasers suggested. It’s a focused coastal map, not a sprawling open-world zone — less time running between POIs, more time looting and fighting.

Confirmed by Embark’s Scout Report

Embark’s official Riven Tides Scout Report confirms three major areas:

  • Panorama Azzurro – the named beachfront resort. Multi-floor hotel with rooftop bar, pool deck, and sun loungers. Structurally compromised — expect collapsing floors and unsafe verticality.
  • The open beachfront – sand stretching from the resort to the harbor. Confirmed Wasp spawns in this area — do not cross unprepared.
  • Industrial harbor – the former Exodus port. Towering cranes, stacked shipping containers, sea wall. Visible flooding damage — the tides have swallowed sections of the dockyard.

A flying ARC silhouette teased over the harbor in the Scout Report turned out to be the ARC Turbine — the new boss confirmed in Patch 1.26.0.

⚠️ Tidal Cycle
The tidal mechanic means some areas are only accessible during certain phases of the match. Plan your route around the tide timer — getting caught in a flooding zone with a full inventory is a costly mistake. Exact phase durations are pending in-game verification (we estimate several minutes per phase based on teaser footage).

Confirmed Locations & POIs

The Riven Tides POI list per shipped content + community map guides (Skycoach, Arc Raiders Hub, Boostmatch, GAMES.GG):

Location Type Loot Tier Notes
Panorama Azzurro Resort / Hotel High The largest building in Arc Raiders. Multi-floor; Commercial + Residential loot. Watch for Shredder ARC patrols and ARC Turbine spawns.
Customs House Compound High Smaller multi-level building, half above-ground, half underground via tunnel. Mixed loot. Houses the Customs Elevator extraction point.
Stacking Yard Container Yard Medium-High Vertical shipping containers across the harbor. Heavy ARC patrols. Industrial + Exodus loot.
Port Authority Compound High Central harbor compound — chaotic PvP territory with keycard-locked rooms and weapon containers on external platforms.
Crane House Locked Facility Medium-High Dockyard structure unlocked by the Crane House Keycard.
Docks Industrial Medium-High Working docks of the former Exodus port — tidal-affected, half-buried ships.
Open Beachfront Coastal / Open Variable Exposed sand between Panorama Azzurro and the dockyard. Confirmed Wasp spawns. Beachcombing dig sites for buried Ship Models.
The Wreck (community-named) Landmark High Half-submerged rocket-ship visual on the coast — referenced in pre-launch coverage; in-game name pending verification.

Extraction Points

Riven Tides has multiple extraction points across the map. Per community map guides, the most-referenced is the Customs Elevator at Customs House — the closest extract to Panorama Azzurro and the default exit on most loot routes.

  • Customs Elevator – inside Customs House. Closest exit from Panorama Azzurro; common default for hotel runs.
  • Additional extracts exist around the dockyard and open coastline — we’ll map full coordinates once verified in-game.

See our Interactive Map for the live layout and our Loot Route Guide for route-specific extraction recommendations.

Best Loot Zones

The best farming targets on Riven Tides:

High-value runs:

  1. Panorama Azzurro – the multi-floor hotel is the highest-density loot zone on the map. Strong for Commercial + Residential loot, the Hotel Keycard 107 cache, and consistent Ship Model spawns for the Last Resort event.
  2. Port Authority – central harbor compound with keycard-locked rooms and weapon containers. High PvP traffic but the loot density supports the risk for squads.
  3. Stacking Yard – vertical container loot with Industrial + Exodus loot pool. Heavy ARC patrols; squads handle it cleaner than solos.

Safer farming:

  1. Customs House – smaller compound with mixed loot and an in-building extraction point (Customs Elevator). Good for solos who want to grab and go.
  2. Open Beachfront (Beachcombing) – equip a Dockmaster’s Detector and dig for buried Ship Models. Lower raw item count but pays Last Resort event Merits + extraction XP.

For full step-by-step routes, see our Riven Tides Loot Route Guide.

Best Loadout for Riven Tides

The coastal environment means you’ll face a mix of long sightlines on the shoreline and tight interiors in compounds. We recommend building for mid-range versatility with a close-quarters secondary.

Recommended primary weapons:

  • Anvil – versatile AR that handles both open-ground and compound fights
  • Bettina – post-Patch 1.26.0 buff makes it a top pick for armored ARC and the Stacking Yard’s heavy enemy density
  • Tempest – dominant at mid-range, strong in container corridors
  • Osprey – for elevated overwatch positions on the harbor cranes; pairs well with a close-range secondary

Recommended secondary:

  • Bobcat or Scorpion for compound interiors and Panorama Azzurro hallways
  • Breaker if you’re pushing Port Authority or Customs House

For full builds with attachments, see our Best Weapons for Riven Tides guide and Best Attachments guide.

New Boss: The ARC Turbine

Riven Tides ships with the ARC Turbine — a new flying ARC with brutal defensive abilities. It’s the silhouette teased over the harbor in the Scout Report. The encounter is passive until you push it; once engaged, it triggers what Embark’s patch notes call “a totally unique fight” with mechanics distinct from every other ARC boss.

The Turbine uses a color-coded light system (red = airborne / yellow = searching / blue = grounded) to telegraph each phase. Read the lights, react accordingly. Most reliable spawn is near Panorama Azzurro after the 15-minute match mark.

Read the full ARC Turbine Boss Guide for phases, weak-point timing, recommended weapons, and Compressor drop mechanics.

Note on naming: our pre-launch coverage referred to this boss as “the Bishop” based on community leaks. That name doesn’t appear in shipped content — the official name is ARC Turbine.

Map Conditions & Beachcombing

Riven Tides ships with a brand new minor map condition: Beachcombing. Unlike the major conditions on other maps, Beachcombing isn’t a threat — it’s a loot mechanic exclusive to this map.

Beachcombing

High-value loot is buried under the sand on the abandoned shorelines and coastal dunes. The loot is invisible to the naked eye — you need the Dockmaster’s Detector equipped to spot dig sites. The Detector provides distinct audio and visual cues guiding you to buried items.

Three ways to get a Detector:

  • Complete Apollo’s Shoring Up Defenses quest
  • Finish Stage 1 of the Avian Alarm Player Project
  • Find one in world loot containers (Toolboxes, Industrial Crates) — rare drop

Beachcombing tips:

  • Open beaches have minimal cover — scan the horizon before committing to a dig, especially with the ARC Turbine patrolling the area
  • Buried loot includes the rare Ship Models (Wind Sprite, Twilight Compass, Velocity, Sirena Dorata, Leviathan’s Crown) used in the Last Resort event running until May 25
  • Dig sites give high XP on extraction — great for new players levelling up

Other dynamic conditions

Riven Tides still uses the standard dynamic weather system in addition to Beachcombing:

  • Tidal Cycle – low tide opens coastal areas and tunnels; high tide floods them and forces players to higher ground. The cycle runs on a fixed timer visible on your HUD.
  • Fog – coastal fog reduces visibility on the shoreline and open beachcombing areas

See our Weather Guide for the full breakdown.

Tips & Strategy

General approach:

  • Learn the tidal timer immediately — the cycle affects which coastal sections are accessible.
  • Don’t fight over Port Authority early — let other players clash, loot the safer compounds during the window, and extract clean.
  • Watch the 15-minute mark for the ARC Turbine spawn. Decide before then whether you’re engaging the boss or extracting clean.

Solo players:

  • Beachcombing favors solos — quiet beaches with minimal cover let you extract clean if you dig fast and watch the horizon.
  • Skip Port Authority and the Stacking Yard if you’re solo — they’re squad-tier POIs.
  • Bring a solo survival build — healing and mobility over raw damage.

Squads:

  • Split your team between Panorama Azzurro (multi-floor sweeps) and an overwatch position on the harbor cranes.
  • Port Authority is worth contesting as a squad — keycard-locked rooms and weapon containers reward a full team.
  • Coordinate around the ARC Turbine spawn timer if you’re farming Compressors for Avian Alarm.

FAQ

When does Riven Tides release?
April 28, 2026 at 1:30 AM PT / 4:30 AM ET / 10:30 CEST — officially confirmed by Embark Studios.

Is Riven Tides free?
Yes. All Arc Raiders maps are free for all players.

What difficulty is Riven Tides?
Not officially rated, but the combination of tidal mechanics, the new ARC Turbine boss (community-described as the hardest fight in the game), and the exposed-position Beachcombing dig mechanic put Riven Tides at Hard — on par with or harder than Stella Montis.

Can I play Riven Tides solo?
Yes. Solo players can actually benefit from Beachcombing — the open beachfront is exposed but quiet, and digging Ship Models pays Last Resort event Merits + extraction XP without committing to PvP.

Yes. It’s part of the standard map rotation.

Will the Interactive Map include Riven Tides?
Yes. We’re adding Riven Tides to our Interactive Map with all POIs, loot locations, and extraction points. See our Loot Route Guide for current step-by-step strategies.
