Best Bettina Build – Arc Raiders ARC Armor Pen Loadout
Best Bettina Build (Post Patch 1.26.0)
The Bettina is one of the biggest winners of Patch 1.26.0 — +33% armor damage, ~40% dispersion reduction, +14% per-shot damage, and ~30% better recovery. The build that worked pre-patch was a niche PvE armor-shredder. Post-patch, the Bettina is a serious general-purpose primary, and the optimal build has shifted accordingly.
Why the Buff Changes the Build
- Tighter dispersion means stability attachments no longer need to be your top priority — you can spend slots on range or mag instead.
- Higher per-shot damage rewards precise bursts, not full-auto sprays.
- Stacked armor damage opens up boss-focused loadouts the Bettina couldn’t carry before, especially the new ARC Turbine fight.
Recommended Attachments
| Slot | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Optic | Reflex / Holographic (compound) or 2-4x (range) | Switch based on map — compound fights need fast acquisition; outdoor fights reward magnification |
| Barrel | Heavy Barrel | Stacks with the new armor damage buff — melts Sentinel / Turbine |
| Grip | Vertical Grip | Pairs with the improved recovery curve for sustained engagements |
| Magazine | Extended Mag | Boss fights and sustained PvP outlast the base mag |
If you have legendary or epic Bettinas, run them — the new durability scaling rewards rarity meaningfully (legendary takes -10% durability per shot, common takes +75%).
Loadouts by Use Case
ARC Turbine Boss Fight
The Bettina is a strong pick for the new ARC Turbine landing window. The 4-5 shot damage window matches the Bettina’s burst rhythm, and the +33% armor damage cuts through the boss’s hull faster than the Anvil.
- Primary: Bettina (epic+) with Heavy Barrel + Vertical Grip + 2-4x optic + Extended Mag
- Secondary: Breaker for ground-phase ARC adds
- Skills: see Best PvE Build
Boss Farming (Sentinel / Queen / Matriarch)
- Primary: Bettina with Heavy Barrel + Reflex + Extended Mag
- Secondary: Vulcano for CQB burst
- See: Sentinel Guide, Queen Guide, Matriarch Guide
Mid-Range Compound PvP
A new use case the Bettina couldn’t do pre-patch.
- Primary: Bettina with Holographic + Compensator + Vertical Grip + Extended Mag
- Secondary: Venator SMG for compound interiors
- Best maps: Riven Tides (Customs House, Port Authority), Buried City, Stella Montis
Hybrid PvE/PvP
- Primary: Bettina with Reflex + Heavy Barrel + Extended Mag
- Secondary: Bobcat for close-range flexibility
- Pairs well with a solo survival kit
Skills & Perks
Prioritize skills that amplify per-shot damage and accuracy over fire-rate:
- Damage-up perks scale strongly with the new 16-base damage
- Stability perks are less critical now — redirect points to mobility or healing
- Armor-pen perks stack with the +33% buff for boss runs
See the Skills Tier List for the current ranking.
Counters & When Not to Run It
- CQB-only fights — if you’re pushing tight cave systems or shotgun-range engagements, the Bettina is too slow. Run the Bobcat or Breaker instead.
- Solo stealth — the Bettina is loud. Solo stealth players should consider the Phantom with a suppressor.
- Long-range overwatch — the Osprey still wins at extreme range. Bettina caps out around mid-range.
Comparisons
- Kettle vs Bettina — updated comparison post-buff
- Bettina vs Anvil: Bettina wins on armor damage and per-shot impact; Anvil wins on volume and CQB transitions
- Bettina vs Tempest: Bettina wins on PvE; Tempest still wins on pure PvP TTK
